Brighton & Hove Albion was the first to detect a concerning heart condition in striker, Raphael Dwamena.

The Ghanaian forward had already agreed to personal terms with Brighton & Hove Albion following a successful bid of approximately 15 million euros (£13.8 million) accepted by Swiss club FC Zurich. Brighton & Hove Albion's initial £8m bid was rejected by FC Zurich.

This detection derailed what could have been a bumper move to the English Premier League club from FC Zurich.

Brighton & Hove Albion was interested in striker Dwamena after losing both of their Premier League games.

"The club would like to wish Raphael the very best for the future," said Brighton & Hove Albion in a statement.

Chris Hughton now Black Stars coach was a key admirer of the Ghanaian striker, who joined FC Zurich from Red Bull Salzburg and scored an impressive 12 goals in 18 games.

The Swiss side bought the striker for about £250,000 from Austria Lustenau.
