Brighton plan record bid for Celtic striker Dembele

Brighton are ready to make a record bid for Celtic striker Moussa Dembele.

The Daily Mail says manager Chris Hughton wants to add pace to his forward line after failing to land a number of key strike targets, including Tottenham's Vincent Janssen, in the summer.

Dembele is rated by Celtic in the £30 million bracket and Brighton - currently 12th in the English Premier League - are considering testing the water with an offer of £20m in next month's window.

The current club record transfer fee of £13.5m was paid for Colombian winger Jose Izquierdo back in August.
