Burnley have tabled a bid in excess of £10 million for promising young Nottingham Forest centre-back Joe Worrell, according to the Sun.

Worrell, 21, has made 30 appearances in all competitions this season and has impressed since making his breakthrough in the first team in 2016 for the Championship side.

He is currently England's U20 captain and is considered one for the future, but it is understood Burnley boss Sean Dyche is not hesitant to start him in the Premier League if the deal goes through.

Worrell's only goal so far this season game against Bolton in a 3-2 win last December.
