Burnley youngster Enock Agyei joins K.V. Mechelen on loan

Belgium-born Ghanaian attacker, Enock Agyei has joined Belgium Jupiler Pro League side K.V. Mechelen on loan from Championship club Burnley FC.

The loan contract runs till the end of 2022/23 football season.

The attacker played 17 times for the Anderlecht Futures in the Challenger Pro League in the past six months. He scored 4 goals and 1 assist. Burnley sent Agyei back to Geel & Rood for six months to get more playing time and return in the summer.

Sports director for KV Mechelen Tim Matthys after signing Enock Agyei stated that they couldn't pass up the opportunity to sign the young attacker because he is a "huge weapon to have in your squad".

"I am very happy that we can add Enock to our selection. I know his qualities and it is not just that Burnley absolutely wanted to attract him," says sporting director Tim Matthys.

"Enock has an exceptional quality, he can break open a match at any time. He is very strong in one-on-one moves and is very explosive. A huge weapon to have in your squad."

"For me, this was an opportunity we couldn't pass up. We've been working on this file for some time now and I'm very happy to be able to finalize it."
