After keeping a clean sheet against Nkana FC over the weekend, former coach of Asante Kotoko Frimpong Manso has urged C.K. Akonnor to maintain the same defensive pair when the team faces Al Hilal on Sunday.
The new coach of Nkoranza Warriors opines that the introduction of Wahab Adams at the heart of defense was really good, and also lauded the impact of Daniel Darkwah at the back.
“I think the introduction of Wahab Adams to the defense of Kotoko was really good. He played very well and maintaining that pair of defenders could help the course of the club.
Also, Daniel Darkwah did very well. His surging runs, passes and crosses were simply brilliant. All he needs is consistency in playing more matches,” he told Light FM Sports.
Frimpong Manso also charged C K Akonnor to work on the second half performance of the team.
Asante Kotoko will take on Sudanese side Al Hilal on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the penultimate Group C clash of the CAF Confederation Cup.
