Asante Kotoko assistant coach Akakpo Patron has expressed his side readiness to beat Coton Sports in Kumasi since they know what it means to win the game.

The Porcupine Warriors surprisingly defeated Coton Sports 3-2 in Cameroon in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup in Yaoundé. Any win for Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday will see the the Reds reach the group stage of the competition for first time since 2008.

Patron, the assistant trainer said, the entire team is ready to book a place in the Money zone knowing what's at stake.

"We assumed our preparation in Cameroon when we won our first game thus in Yaoundé, we landed in Ghana and we continued with training.” We're ready because we are much aware what's at stake on Sunday which we need to get the players on their mental strength".

"Each and everyone of us all, we are ready to go for it", he told the media after their Thursday training session in Kumasi.

He continued, “Consistency I will say, it's the team driving force, starting well for a team to stand tall, consistency have to be there week after week". Creating the awareness of players improvement every time is also a factor".

Patron, who is a former player of the club will be in the dugout in their return leg against Coton Sports at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
