CAF Champions League: It won’t be a big deal if we fail to beat Medeama in prelims – Remo Stars President

The President of Remo Stars FC, Kunle Soname has indicated that the doubleheader encounter against Medeama SC in the CAF Champions League is not a do-or-die affair for the side.

According to him, the focus of the club is to develop players and ship them to Europe.

Speaking to Akoma FM in an interview, he said although it will be disappointing to lose the tie against Medeama SC, the club won’t owe anybody an apology.

“Our main objective is to develop our players and sell into the European market. For them to be ready for the European market so these games will test their readiness.

“We shipped 7 players to Europe this year and for us, that's our focus. If we don't qualify in this game, that will be disappointing but I owe no one apology if that happens,” Kunle Soname said.

The first leg of the game between Medeama SC and Remo Stars FC will be played at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday, August 20.
