CAF Champions League: Medeama goalkeeper Felix Kyei promises to keep clean sheet against Young Africans

Medeama SC goalkeeper Felix Kyei has promised not to concede when his side take on Young Africans in the CAF Champions League clash.

The Yellow and Mauve play host to the Tanzanian giants at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday, December 8, 2023.

Kyei has conceded four goals in his first two games of the CAF elite competition. He was in the post when his side succumbed to a 3-0 defeat to Al Ahly before recovering to beat CR Belouizdad 2-1 last week.

Ahead of their game against Yanga, the enterprising shot stopper has vowed to keep a clean for the first time in the Champions League group stage.

"As a goalkeeper, you need to keep a clean sheet. Each and every game, I want to keep a clean sheet but the game decides sometimes. In some instances, we’re unable to keep a clean sheet due to one or two mistakes. Tomorrow, I am not promising a clean sheet, but we are going to give off our best to take the three maximum points," expressed Kyei.

Medeama are aiming for their second consecutive win in the CAF elite competition when they take on Yanga, who are also determined to snatch victory after going two games without a win in Group D.

The Yellow and Mauve are without influential duo of Abdul Fatawu Hamidu and Theophilus Anobah due to injury they are presently nursing.

Meanwhile, striker Jonathan Sowah has return from suspension to face Yanga.
