Ghana’s representative for the 2019/2020 edition of the CAF Champions League, Kumasi Asante Kotoko has safely touched down in Nigeria ahead of their match with Kano Pillars in the preliminary round.
Nicknamed the Porcupine Warriors, the team departed the shores of Ghana in the early hours of Thursday after wrapping up their training sessions at the Accra Academy Sports Complex on Wednesday evening.
The team that traveled for the assignment includes 18 players, technical handlers, as well as some management members.
They are set to stay in Abuja for some hours before making their way to Kano later in the evening around 19:00GMT.
They will have the chance to train tomorrow ahead of the first leg of the crucial match that will come off on Saturday, August 10, 2019, at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
