CAF CL:Kotoko v Al-Hilal clash called off

Published on: 06 January 2021

The second leg of the CAF Champions League clash between Kotoko and Al-Hilal has been officially called off.

Before the decision was made, it was reported that 11 members in the Asante Kotoko camp had tested positive for COVID-19. This report has been challenged by the club.

Also, the club confirmed that the match was initially delayed due to 'missing result' of one Kotoko player.

Now, the match which was scheduled to take place on Wednesday will not happen  and a decision has to be made by CAF on the multiple issues that have arisen.

Al-Hilal have an advantage after winning the first leg 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium in December.
