CAF condemns racist abuse of Brazil forward Richarlison

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has condemned racist abuse on Brazilian forward Richarlison during friendly.

Richarlison, who plies his trade for Tottenham Hotspurs was racially abuse on Tuesday in Brazil’s pre-World Cup friendly against African side Tunisia.

The forward had a banana thrown at him as he was racially abused during Brazil's friendly win over Tunisia in Paris.

The incident occurred as the former Everton striker ran towards the corner flag to celebrate scoring his side's second goal in their 5-1 win at the Parc des Princes.

This horrible act has been condemned by continental football governing body (CAF).

A statement from CAF reads, “CAF condemns acts of racism directed at Brazil’s Richarlison during the international friendly match between Tunisia and Brazil in Paris this week. CAF stands in solidarity with Richarlison against this inhuman act”
