CAF Confed Cup: Dreams FC departs to Guinea ahead of Milo FC clash

Dreams FC have departed from Accra for Guinea ahead of the first-leg of their CAF Confederation Cup clash against Milo FC.

The Still Believe lads are representing Ghana in the Confederations Cup after emerging as winners in the Ghana FA Cup, beating King Fiasal in the final.

Dreams FC are scheduled to face Milo FC on Saturday, August 19, before the reverse fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium a week later.

On Thursday morning, an 18-man team lead by coach Abdul Karim Zito and some management members have departed the capital city, and are expected to arrive in Conakry in the afternoon.

As Ghana’s representative in the Africa second elite competition, Dreams FC have bolster their squad with the acquisition of experienced forward John Antwi, who is well equipped in the continental football.

In addition to strategic player acquisitions, Dreams FC have played a series of friendly matches to gauge their team's prowess in the lead-up to their debut campaign in Africa.

They played against Samartex, Black Galaxies and Heart of Lions and are hoping their preparation will pay off to get a favourable results at away.
