Experienced forward John Antwi has set sights on reaching the group stage of this year’s CAF Confederations Cup campaign after overcoming Guinean side Milo FC.

The Still Believe lads came from behind to secure an important victory over Milo FC to progress to the next round of the qualifications.

Before the return leg at the Accra Sports Stadium, Dreams FC had held Milo FC to a 1-1 stalemate in the first leg played at the Lansana Conte Stadium in Guinea. The Ghana FA champions went into the return leg with the advantage.

Milo FC took the lead in the encounter as the visitors went to recess with a goal advantage.

After the break, Dreams FC uplifted their game and levelled pegging through Agyenim Boateng, who scored from the spot.

The game seems to have ended in a stalemate but experienced attacker John Antwi stepped up and grabbed the match-winner in stoppage time as Dreams FC progressed with a 3-2 aggregated scoreline.

After the game, the former Al Ahly and Pyramid FC attacker shared his delight with the victory whiles he set sights on money zone berth with the club.

“First of all the goal was not for me alone but for the team and I think it has helped the team to go to the next stage," he said after the game.

“So like from the beginning, I am coming to help the team with the little experience I have in Africa because I have been to the CAF Champions League final, I have been to the Confederation Cup final so I know how the terrain is.

“Mine is just to help the team to go forward at least to the group stage, this is what we are working on and I know God willing we will get there.”

Dreams FC will face Sierra Leonean club, FC Kallon in the final round of the CAF Confederations Cup qualifiers after they gain a walkover over Nigerien side AS Douanes due to the political unrest in the country.

The Still Believe lads will play home first before travelling for the second leg next month.
