CAF Confederation Cup: Amos Frimpong full of confident ahead of Nkana trip

Asante Kotoko can travel to Zambia and record a positive result against Nkana FC in the Caf Confederation Cup, believes Amos Frimpong.

The Porcupine Warriors defeated Zesco United to pick up their first three points in group C and a win or draw will further enhance their chances of qualifying from group C of the CAF inter-club competition.

Speaking to Graphic Sports ahead of the game, the skipper is confident the Reds can pull a surprise in Zambia as they are bent on winning all their home games.

“We need a positive result against Nkana in order to enhance our chances of qualification from the group because it is an open one,” the 27-year-old said.

“As for our three home matches, they are must-wins for us so I think the focus should be on the away matches and how we will be able to get good results,” he added.

Kotoko recovered from their first loss to Al Hilal of Sudan to narrowly edge out group leaders, Zesco, 2-1 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi last Wednesday.

Coach Charles Kwablan Akunnor and his lads face a stern test ahead of the crucial game as they seek to avoid a second successive away defeat.
