CAF Confederation Cup: Dreams FC name 18-man squad for Milo FC clash

Ghana’s 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup representatives Dreams Football Club have announced an 18-man squad for their first-round preliminary match against MILO FC DE KANKAN.

The Dawu-based side is expected to depart Ghana on Thursday, August 17, 2023, to the Guinea capital for the game this coming weekend.

The squad has two goalkeepers, with experience African campaigner John Antwi included in the squad.

New signing Richard Mensah from Kotoku Royals is also included in the squad.

Dreams FC are scheduled to face Milo FC on Saturday, August 19, in what is anticipated to be a crucial meeting for both sides' hopes of reaching the second preliminary stage.

Subsequently, the teams will square off again in the reverse fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium, exactly one week later.

In addition to strategic player acquisitions, Dreams FC have played a series of friendly matches to gauge their team's preparedness in the lead-up to their debut campaign in Africa.

Their final friendly game was against Heart of Lions on Tuesday afternoon which they won by three goals to nil with goals from John Antwi twice and Gael Aholou.
