CAF Confederation Cup: Players and technical team hurting over inability to reach final – Dreams FC

Dreams FC have announced that the club’s technical team and players are ‘hurting’ over their inability to book qualification to the final of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Still Believe lads loss 3-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday in the semifinal second leg that ensured the Egyptian powerhouse progress to the final.

The management of the club has now released a statement, saying their participation in the competition is a success and that players and technical team need support.

“Dreams Football Club wishes to express its profound gratitude to everyone who contributed in diverse ways towards making its campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup a success.

“Management considers this maiden journey in African inter-club competition a huge success despite our elimination from the semi-final stage to Egyptian giants Zamalek.

“We want to in particular say a big thank you to the fans that showed up in their numbers at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

“Members of the technical team and playing body are hurting at the Moment over their inability to have secured a win and qualification to the finals of the competition.”
