Ghanaian side, Dreams Football Club put on a fight to beat Kallon Football Club 2-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, September 15.

The Dawu-based club hosted the team from Sierra Leone today in the first leg of the tie in the playoff of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Keen on advancing to the Group Stage of the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup, Dreams FC head coach Karim Zito set up strong in a bid to take a win from the first half.

Following a good start to the game, the hosts scored first at the Accra Sports Stadium through a strike from Godfred Atuahene in the 15th minute.

Unfortunately, the team could not take advantage of the momentum and allowed Kallon FC to grow into the game.

The visitors before the break equalised to ensure the first half ended 1-1.

After recess, Dreams FC won the game courtesy of a strike from experienced forward John Antwi in the 55th minute.

The Ghanaian side now takes a narrow lead into the second leg of the tie next weekend.
