CAF Confederation Cup: There is no pressure on Nkana FC ahead of Kotoko clash - Lilian Musenge reveals

Published on: 19 February 2019

Mr. Lilian Musenge, Communication Director of Nkana FC says his outfit is under no pressure to play Asante Kotoko after they lost 2-0 to Power Dynamos in the Zambian top flight league on Saturday.

According to Musenge, Nkana's defeat was due to fatigue but the team is preparing adequately ahead of their crucial encounter against the Porcupine Warriors.

“We lost to Power Dynamos because our players were tired and also wanted to be careful ahead of the game against Kotoko because it’s an important game so we must prepare very well,” Musenge told Kumasi- based Ashh FM.

“Losing to Power Dynamo is nothing serious but I know our players will recover very fast and be ready for Kotoko on Sunday.”

“There is no pressure on Nkana Fc players because we lost our derby game against Power Dynamos, but we will just prepare very well because every game in the group is very important”

He continued, “Our players are used to pressure and that makes them ready for any team in the group. Our players have not rested this season playing in a lot of active competitions, so I trust them to win the game on Sunday”

“The standings on the group table is nothing serious because Kotoko is not good away travellers so we will score them on Sunday to carry all the 3 points”

“Kotoko winning in Cameroon against Coton Sport was not in the group stage and playing in the group stages is a different ball game altogether, so that can’t be a yardstick for Kotoko to win on Sunday”.
