CAF Confederation Cup: We will not focus on first leg results - Karim Zito ahead of Zamalek clash

Dreams FC coach, Abdul Karim Zito says his side is not focusing on the first-leg results against Zamalek in the CAF Confederation Cup semi-final.

The Still Believe lads secured a hard-fought goalless draw against the Egyptian side at the Cairo International Stadium last Sunday.

Looking ahead to the return leg at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, April 28, 2024, Zito is cautious.

"We've put the first leg aside; we know it will be very difficult, it looks very frightening but it is not impossible," Karim Zito told Kumasi-based Akoma FM.

The experienced coach is hopeful of victory, even if it means going to penalties.

"We are ready should the game travel to penalties, but we aim to end the game within 90 minutes."

Zamalek arrived in Kumasi on Thursday, April 25, to continue their preparations for the anticipated encounter.

The game has been scheduled to kick off at 16:00GMT.

In a bid to mobilise a significant turnout of football enthusiasts in Kumasi, the club has announced free entry to all stands except for the VIP and VVIP stands.
