Ghana and Zesco United striker Rahim Osumanu says his outfit were unlucky in the 2-1 loss to Asante Kotoko in the CAF Confederation Cup on Wednesday.

The Zambian Champions suffered their first defeat in the competition at the hands of the Porcupine Warriors at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi.

Goals from Kwame Bonsu and Emmanuel Gyemfi gave the Reds all three points.

Osumanu came on from the bench to score a consolation for Zesco United side that missed a penalty in the first half.

Speaking after the game, the 23-year old expressed his satisfaction with his performance but feels they deserved better in the game.

“Personally, I was happy with my performance but the sad thing is we were not lucky as we could have gotten a draw," he told footballmadeinghana.com

“Both teams played well, Kotoko is a great club, but we are Zesco and we don’t fear any team. Our aim is to go for the ultimate.”

Zesco United will face Al Hilal of Sudan in Zambia in their next outing of the Caf Confederation Cup.
