CAF Confederations Cup: Dreams FC coach Karim Zito urges support from Kotoko fans ahead of Stade Malien showdown in Kumasi

Dreams FC tactician Abdul Karim Zito is urging support from Asante Kotoko fans ahead of their crucial CAF Confederations Cup quarterfinals return leg tie against Stade Malien.

The Ghana FA Cup champions secured a massive 2-1 away win over the Malian giants on Sunday and will head into the second leg with the advantage.

The Still Believe lads will host Stade Malien at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, April 7, 2024, and it presents Dreams FC with a significant advantage as they aim to progress further in the competition.

Zito holds legendary status at Kotoko, having served the club as a player and as a coach.

Speaking ahead of their game against Stade Malien, Zito called on Kotoko fans to troop to the stadium to support their him (as a legend of the club) when his Dreams FC outfit take on Stade Malien on Sunday.

“Kotoko is my life. I’m disabled because of Kotoko. My hand cannot work perfectly, and that’s a fact. I’m still a Kotoko fan and a Kotoko legend. They should come to the stadium, if not for anything at all, they should come and support me, their legend” he said.

Stade Malien are expected to arrive in Ghana on Saturday with a chattered flight ahead of the crucial return leg clash.
