CAF President Patrice Motsepe highlights Nigeria's merits ahead of 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final

In a heartfelt declaration, CAF President Patrice Motsepe lauded Nigeria's performance in the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, expressing immense pride in the nation's journey.

With Nigeria set to face Ivory Coast in the eagerly anticipated final, Motsepe's remarks underscore a deep appreciation for the Super Eagles' prowess on the field.

This sentiment echoes his earlier commendations, reiterating sentiments voiced during the prestigious CAF Awards ceremony held last December in Morocco.

“I am the president of 54 football nations, I love everyone but I must say that I am very proud of Nigeria,” declared the President of CAF.

“When I said 'the beautiful country of Nigeria' to Osimhen while presenting the Player of the Year, people told me I shouldn't have said it because they were going to become even more beautiful,” Patrice Motsepe added.

Nigeria will clash with host country Ivory Coast on Sunday 11th February 2024 at the Stade Olympique Alassane Ouattara.
