CAF U-23 AFCON: Ghana to play Cote d’Ivoire in semis today

The Black Meteors of Ghana will come up against their counterpart of Cote d’Ivoire in the semi-finals of the 2019 CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament which is currently ongoing in Egypt.

Following a successful end to the group stage last week, four of the top teams are set to battle for two of the available sports in the finals today when they feature at the semi-finals.

Ghana who had to rely on Egypt beating Cameroon in the final round of Group A matches has been drawn against Mali who emerged as winners of Group B.

That big game for Coach Ibrahim Tanko and his charges has been scheduled to take play this afternoon with the winner securing automatic qualification to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

The match will be played at the Cairo International Stadium later this afternoon with kick-off time set at 14:00GMT.
