CAF U-23 AFCON Qualifiers: Black Meteors arrive in Annaba for Algeria clash

The Black Meteors have arrived in Annaba for their U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Algeria on Friday.

The Meteors left Accra on Wednesday evening for the game that will be played at the 19 May 1956 Stadium in Annaba.

Ghana will be hoping to advance to the U-23 Championship and fight for a place to play in the next Olympic Games which will be staged in Paris.

A win in the double-legged tie will confirm Ghana’s place in the tournament which will be staged from 24 June and 8 July 2023.

Meanwhile, Cremonses forward, Felix Afena-Gyan have turned down a call-up for the games.

Ghana has not qualified for men's football at the Olympic Games since Athens 2004.
