Caleb Ekuban scores late winner to earn all three points for Trabzonspor against Fatih Karagumruk

Ghana international Caleb Ekuban scored in the 81st minute on Sunday afternoon to seal a 2-1 win for Trabzonspor in the game against Turkish Super Lig newcomers Fatih Karagümrük.

The Black Stars asset earned a starting role for his team today when they visited the Vefa Stadium to take on the Matchday 16 opponent.

Following a bright start to the match, Caleb Ekuban scored in the 12 minutes only for it to be subsequently ruled out for an offside.

With no allowed goals in the first half, Trabzonspor returned from the break to score in the first minute of the second half when Anthony Nwakaeme equalized.

Now trailing, Fatih Karagumruk upped their game in search of an equalizer to draw level. Fortunately for the side, their efforts will eventually pay off in the 70th minute as Jure Balkovec scored to restore parity.

Determined to pick up all the three points, Trabzonspor kept believing and managed to score through an effort from Caleb Ekuban in the 81st minute to ensure they won 2-1.

Today’s goal means that the Ghana attacker has increased his tally to four this season after featuring in 10 matches for his club in the Turkish Super Lig.
