Ghana international Caleb Ekuban was in action on Wednesday night as he helped his Trabzonspor side to beat Alanyaspor to lift the Turkish Cup.

Having enjoyed stellar campaigns in this season's domestic cup competition in Turkey, both teams locked horns at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium today to push for glory.

On the Matchday, attacker Caleb Ekuban earned a starting role for his team and played well before unfortunately suffering an injury setback.

Before being substituted in the final 5 minutes of the first half though, he helped his team to take the lead on the 25th minute with Abdulkadir Omur finding the back of the net.

Tranbsonpor will build on that lead in the second half and killed the game in added time when Alexander Sorloth scored with a thumping effort after being assisted by Jose Sosa.

With the 2-0 win against Alanyaspor at the end of the 90 minutes, Caleb Ekuban and his Trabzonspor side have been crowned the champions of the Turkish Cup competition.

He joined the team to celebrate with dressing room images proving that his injury is not that serious.

In the cup competition this season, Ekuban featured in 7 games and chipped in with a goal and 3 assists.
