The Yaounde-based club beat the odds and won the 2020-2021 women's football championship trophy. Experts agree that this is an achievement.

For the first time in history, Awa is at the top of women's football in Cameroon. On August 8, the young team dethroned the traditional leaders of the championship: Amazones FAP (a club of the Armed Forces and Police), and Louves Minproff, club of the Ministry of Women Empowerment and the Family Center.

At the end of the Day 22, the match of all hopes against Amazones FAP turned in favor of the girls of Awa, victorious (0-2). The team coached by Hassan Mballa finished the season with a record of 56 points, 49 goals scored and only 9 conceded.
