Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed he does not expect Cristiano Ronaldo's performances to dip any time soon and believes the Real Madrid star can add to his collection of Ballon d'Or awards.

The Portuguese captain collected his fourthBallon d'Oron Monday night, leaving him just oneshort of Messi's record of five awards.

And Ancelotti, who worked with Ronaldo for two years at Real Madrid does not think his phenomenal performances will decline in the near future.

"I don't know when he'll keep going until, but I don't think he's that old," Ancelotti told AS Diario.

"Playing in a more advanced position could have an influence. He's now playing more centrally and with time he'll have to drop deep less often and stay in a more advanced position. I think he'll keep up this high level for three or four years."

The three timeChampions League winning coach also thinks Ronaldo can add to his fourBallon d'Orawards in years to come, despite turning 32 in February.

"Without doubt he can over the next two or three years. Like Messi," Ancelottisaid. "The rest will still have to wait, although we can help some of them as a team, such as [Robert] Lewandowski for example, if we win lots of trophies."

Ronaldo and Ancelotti famously helpeddeliver 'la Decima', Real Madrid's tenth Champions League trophy in 2014, andthe duocould well add to their separatemedal collections this year round.

Last week'sfinal 16draw saw Real Madrid paired with Italian club Napoli while Bayern Munich will face old foes Arsenal, who they have played in three of the previous four campaigns.

Bayern Munich currently sit in pole position in the Bundesliga, just ahead of surprise package RB Leipzig on goal difference, while Real Madrid are currently six points clear ofrivals Barcelona at the summit of La Liga.
