Arsenal defender, Oleksandr Zinchenko has been forced to make his pick on the best defensive midfielder in the English Premier League.
Since last season, there has been banter on who among Thomas Partey, Casemiro, and Rodri is the best defensive midfielder.
When asked by FIVE presenter Joel Beya to make his pick, Zinchenko argued that although Casemiro is a world-class player, he would go with Thomas Partey.
"I don't want to say something bad. Casemiro is a world-class player, five Champions Leagues. But if I had to choose, it would be Partey,” the former Manchester City man said.
The Ukrainian added, "I had the debate in my head, who is the best holding midfielder I have ever played with - it was between Fernandinho, Rodri and Partey. It is a tough one. I watched Fernandinho when he was at Shakhtar and he helped me so much. I love him like an older brother."
At Arsenal, Thomas Partey has dealt with several injuries but has still managed to establish himself as one of the best midfielders in the English Premier League.
