Celtic Boys midfielder Justice Arthur donates food to less privileged in Ghana

Ghanaian midfielder Justice Arthur has donated foods to the less privileged in Ghana amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Arthur, who plays for Celtic Boys in Italy's pro professional league has been under lockdown in Italy, however, he has has been keeping tabs on developments in Ghana due to technological advancements.

The disease also called COVID-19 has caused hardship in the West African country and in helping people survive, the Itlay-based Ghanaian has distributed foods to the residents of Racecourse in Ghana.

"Nobody predicted that this coronavirus will kill so many people, force countries to lockdown, cause schools and public places to be shut. It's a pity. Now the world is bleeding," says the midfielder.

"I am a resident in Reggio Emilia, Italy but a Ghanaian, the country Italy has been one of the most affected by the virus resulting in the death of many.

"Due to technological advancements, I am able to know what's happening in my nation Ghana. I am aware of an initial two weeks lockdown which has been extended by a week by the President of the land.

"Lots of organisations and individuals are doing their best to provide for the less privileged in these critical times. Together with my wife and family we also giving out these foods to residents of Racecourse in Ghana to help them in this lockdown period.

"I believe it will go a long way to support the vulnerable in the society. I will appeal to other individuals who are resourced not to delay in extending generosity in this time of need and want. God bless my homeland Ghana."

Ghana have recorded 641 COVID-19 cases with 8 deaths.
