Celtic drop interest in €7 million rated Caleb Ekuban

Scottish giants, Celtic have abandoned advances to sign attacker Caleb Ekuban after Trabzonspor slapped a fee of 7 million Euros on the player.

After yet another outstanding season in the Turkish Super Lig as well as the domestic cup competition, the Ghanaian international has attracted interest from several clubs.

Celtic reportedly led the race to sign the forward but footballghana.com sources have confirmed that the club has dropped their interest.

It is understood that they see Trabzonspor’s 7 million Euros evaluation of Caleb Ekuban as too much and hence the step back.

The Scottish giants are only ready to pay 5 million Euros for the service of the 26-year old and have decided not to pursue the player unless his parent club is ready to reduce their figure.

Last season, Caleb Ekuban scored 5 goals and provided 6 assists after making 26 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig for Trabzonspor.
