Celtic left-back James Forrest has showered praises on Dutch-born Ghanaian full-back Jeremie Frimpong while indicating that he has enjoyed his partnership since he started earning starting roles for the side.

Forest started the season with Mikael Lustig at the other end of the full-back position but an injury set back has left the former on the sidelines receiving treatment.

In Lustig’s absence, Jeremie Frimpong has taken up his role and has excelled beyond expectations.

According to James Forest, playing his full-back role together with the Ghanaian at the end of Celtic’s defensive setup has been very good.

In a recent interview, the left-back shared, “Ever since he’s been in the team he’s done really well and in the games, I’ve played with him we’ve linked up really well. He’s good for me to have in the team because of how attacking he is” Forrest said as quoted by the Celtic View.

That good run may soon, however, come to an end with reports indicating that Mikael Lustig is close to returning from his injury.
