Scottish Premier League champions Celtic are set to miss out on signing Ghana international Patrick Twumasi from Deportivo Alaves in the on-going summer transfer window, Footballghana.com can report.
Twumasi has arrived in Turkey to complete his season-long loan deal to Turkish Super Lig side Gaziantep.
The 25-year-old failed to hit the ground running at Alaves, hence was restricted to only 14 appearances in his debut season in Spain.
As a result of that, he was desperate to leave the club in the summer after receiving offers from several clubs in Europe.
Celtic fans have a fond memory of Twumasi as he bagged a brace for his former side Astana against them in 2017.
