Ghana star Thomas Partey and his Arsenal team will face off against compatriot Salis Abdul Samed’s RC Lens.
The Ghana deputy captain was instrumental as Arsenal secured a place in the Champions League group stage for the first time since the 2015/16 season.
He featured in 33 Premier League matches and scored three times as Arsenal narrowly missed out on the title to Manchester City in the final stretch of the season.
Meanwhile, Salis Abdul Samed was also as instrumental for Lens as Partey for Arsenal in Lens’ first-ever appearance in the Champions League.
He scored one goal and provided one assist in 33 French Ligue 1 appearances in the historic campaign that saw him get rewarded with a new contract.
Sevilla, the Europa League winners, are the third team in Group B while PSV are also the team to complete the group.
Both Thomas Partey and Salis Abdul Samed are expected to be in Ghana’s squad for the September AFCON qualifier against the Central African Republic.
