CHAN 2022: Black Galaxies will play their normal game despite cold Constantine weather – Annor Walker

Black Galaxies boss, Annor Walker, believes the cold weather in Algeria will not affect how his boys play when they take to the pitch against Madagascar in their 2022 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) opener today.

He admits the weather conditions in the host country are different from those in Ghana, but they must cope and perform at their maximum.

“The weather in Ghana is very different; it only changes during the rainy season. In Cairo, we experienced a different weather but we managed to cope with it,” he said in his pre-match interview.

“Algiers also had cold weather conditions but again we were able to manage it.”

“It’s quite colder in Constantine but we are here to do our job. The players understand that this is their job and they have to cope and work in it.

“We are managing in the weather conditions and we are prepared to play. Psychologically, when the players get to the pitch, they will play their normal game irrespective of the weather.

“We will do our job.”

The game against Madagascar will take place at Stade Chahid-Hamlaoui, with kick-off set for 7 pm Ghana time.
