CHAN 2022: Every team in Group C knows what Ghana can do – Annor Walker

Head coach of Ghana’s Black Galaxies, Annor Walker, says every team in their 2022 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) Group C knows what they are capable of doing.

He adds that this will push opponents to want to play better when they come up against Ghana’s home-based national team in this month’s tournament ongoing in Algeria.

Ghana is in Group C alongside defending champions Morocco, Sudan, and Madagascar, facing the latter in their tournament opener today at Stade Chahid-Hamlaoui.

“Everyone knows what Ghana can do so every team will play well when they face Ghana,” he said at their pre-Madagascar press conference.

“We are prepared for any team that comes our way. We are here to show what we can do as a national team from Ghana.”

The Samartex head coach further disclosed his side is ready for the test that awaits them in Group C because they’ve been prepping for the competition for a year now.

“We have been preparing since last year towards this competition,” he added.

“We were fortunate to leave Ghana for Cairo as part of our pre-tournament tour before moving to Algiers and eventually to Constantine. We have prepared well for this competition.”

Ghana is making a return to the CHAN after failing to qualify for the three previous editions and will be looking to finally win the title after failing to do so when they reached the final on two occasions.
