CHAN 2023: Deputy Sports Minister Evans Bobbie confident about Black Galaxies chances ahead of Sudan clash

Deputy Sports Minister Evans Opoku Bobbie has backed the Black Galaxies to beat Sudan in their next game at the 2023 Championship for African Nations (CHAN).

The home-based national team chances of progressing to the knockout phase is in limbo after suffering a defeat in their opening game.

Ghana who started the game as favourite suffered a 2-1 defeat against debutants Madagascar on Sunday night.

Despite the defeat, Evans Bobbie has thrown his weight behind the team to progress to the next phase of the tournament.

“Don’t be discouraged. You have an opportunity to correct what happened the last time”.

“The nation has confidence in you. In life we all make mistakes but what is ahead of us is most important.”

Meanwhile, the deputy Sports Minister has confirmed all outstanding entitlements have been paid.

“The nation is still behind you and we are confident you can make it”

“As a way of motivating you, government has fulfilled all outstanding entitlements due to the team and we are also ready redeem all promises when you make it to the next round”.

Ghana will take on Sudan on Thursday on January 19, 2023 in their second group game.
