CHAN qualifiers: CAF appoints Benin referee Issa Mouhamed to officiate Ghana’s first leg clash against Nigeria

CAF has announced the names of officials that will officiate the crucial first-leg encounter of the CHAN qualifier between Ghana and Nigeria.

In a statement issued by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Monday, August 16, it said Issah Mouhamed has been appointed as the centre referee.

“Issa Mouhamed from Benin will officiate Ghana's Championship of African Nations (CHAN) 1st leg qualifier against Nigeria at the Cape Coast stadium.

“He will be assisted by compatriots, Eric Ayimavo Ayamr Ulrich (Assistant I), Koudogbo Augustin Augustin Kougbemede (Assistant) and Dedjinnanchi Tanisla Ahomlanto Dedjinnanchi (Fourth referee),” a GFA release has said.

The statement adds, “Prince Kai Saquee and Sanusie Rashid from Sierra Leon will serve as Match Commissioner and Referee Assessor respectively while Christiana Baah works as COVID-19 Officer.”

The first leg of the clash between Ghana and Nigeria is scheduled for the Cape Coast stadium on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at 16H00.
