The Black Galaxies of Ghana will be involved in a must-win encounter with their counterpart from Sudan on Thursday, January 19, in the 2022 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) tournament.
The Galaxies commenced their campaign at the tournament last Sunday in a game against Madagascar.
At the end of what was a Group C meeting, Ghana suffered a shocking 2-1 defeat to Madagascar and lost out on picking even a point.
Although Ghana has subsequently been awarded three free points plus three goals due to Morocco’s inability to honour the CHAN2022 tournament, the Black Galaxies are third on the group table and need to win the second game against Sudan.
That crucial showdown is scheduled to be played tomorrow and will kick off at 7 pm.
A win takes Ghana to second on the Group C standings with 6 points and a very good chance of sealing qualification to the knockout stage of the CHAN2022 tournament being staged in Algeria.
