CHAN2022: We could have done better than Madagascar – Ghana coach Annor Walker

Head coach for the Black Galaxies of Ghana, Annor Walker has indicated that his team has the potential to play better than it did in the game against Madagascar.

The gaffer was left disappointed on Sunday afternoon following a 2-1 defeat to Madagascar in the first Group C game of the CHAN 2022 tournament.

According to coach Annor Walker, he knows his team and is aware they can play better.

“Madagascar played well in the first half, but we also did not have our usual rhythm. Apart from that, I did not see anything different from them. They were possessing the ball quite well, but I believe we could have done better ourselves and these are the things we will need to look at and remedy ahead of our next match on Thursday,” coach Annor Walker said.

The gaffer added, “I still need to analyse the game and make a proper judgement on where exactly we went wrong and how it needs to be fixed,” concluded the coach.”

Ghana next takes on Sudan on Thursday, January 19, and must win to stay in contention for qualification to the next stage of the CHAN 2022 tournament.
