The Minister of Youth and Sports in Nigeria, Sunday Dare has charged the Super Eagles to channel all the anger from the failures suffered at the 2021 AFCON into the clash against Ghana on Friday night.

The Super Eagles arrived in Kumasi on Thursday morning ahead of the first leg of the playoff tie of the African qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament.

According to Sunday Dare, Nigeria must beat the ‘shit’ out of Ghana. In a message, the Sports Minister told head coach Augustine Eguavoen, “Thank you sincerely for turning up for Nigeria.”

He continued, “We have put Cameroon and the Cup of Nations behind us and the message after Cameroon is that if I could remember, I said let us visit our anger on Ghana.

“We are not going to Ghana for a draw, so you guys just do your thing. It’s football.”

Tomorrow’s encounter between Ghana and Nigeria is scheduled to be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. The game will kick off at 19:30GMT.
