Charlie Adam Opens Up on Manner in Which He Was Let Go by Liverpool

Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam has revealed the manner in which he was sold by Liverpool in 2012.

The 30-year-old was bought by Kenny Dalglish from Blackpoolin 2011, but was sold by Brendan Rodgers just one year later. He claims that it was quite tough on him, and he was left with a difficult decision to make.

The Scotalso admits that he regrets the decision, since he could have been a regular in the side like Jordan Henderson is now.

It was a difficult time, said Adam on The Fantasy Football Club, via theDaily Star.

It was one of the decisions you have to make in a short period.I only had 24 hours to think about it. It happened quick.

We played Hearts in the Europa League on Thursday night and I went to see Brendan and asked what the situation was, and he said ˜we want to sell you' and that was it.

In 24 hours I had to think what I wanted to do and I made a decision.

I probably should have stuck it out for another season, if I'm being honest.I'm one of these lads that wants to play every week, every Saturday if I can.

You see it now. No disrespect but Jordan (Henderson) is still there and he's playing every week. You never know, that might have been my situation.

You never know. But I made that choice and have to stick by it.
