Charlton Athletic owner Thomas Sandgaard has expressed his happiness after his side completed the signing of Ghanaian international Omar Bogle in the on-going summer transfer window.

The 27-year-old penned a one-year deal with the club, with the option of a second year after passing his mandatory medicals.

He has scored an impressive 120 goals in 289 career appearances and becomes the second signing in as many days following the arrival of Wales international right-back Chris Gunter on Thursday.

The Charlton owner called Bogle following the completion of the deal to welcome him to the club. "I am very pleased we have been able to sign a striker of Omar’s quality," he told the club's official website.

"I spoke to him on the phone and he is really looking forward to playing for Charlton, so I can’t wait to see him play. We have a way we want to play and required a striker that fits that style and Omar matches that perfectly."

Omar becomes the fifth signing of the Thomas Sandgaard era, just two weeks after the Danish-American businessman took over the club.
