Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is aiming to deal Liverpool a "hard hit" totheir fading title challenge on Tuesday night.

The Blues lost to Jurgen Klopp's side in the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge in September, but are now ten points clear of them at the top of the league.

And Conte has admitted that Liverpool would be dealt a severe psychological blow should they lose to his Chelsea side at Anfield.

"There's a lot of points (to play for) but for sure, to beat Liverpool would be a hard hit, mentally, for them," he said, quoted by theDaily Mail.

"But, I repeat: there are 15 games after this and 45 points available before the season finishes. For this reason I think the result is important, but the result doesn't decide the season of Chelsea or Liverpool."

Conte's visit to Anfield on Tuesday will be his first, but he revealed that he will be unable to enjoy such a bigoccasion.

"For me, it's very difficult to live the game as a tourist," he added. "Honestly. Because I'm totally involved in the game and for this reason I have to think and to have a lot of emotion.

"To try, also, to transfer my concentration and my focus to my players. In this way, it's very difficult to live this moment as a tourist."

A win for Chelsea would take them 13 points clear of Liverpool, who have lost three games in a week.
