Chelsea boss Antonio Conte says Arsene Wenger deserved his new deal at Arsenal.
The two teams meet on Sunday in the Community Shield.
Conte said: "I consider Arsene Wenger one of the best managers. I think it's right (he stayed) because he is a really good coach.
"He has had a lot of time to build his team and squad - he is the right choice for them.
"I'm not surprised he stayed. He is one of the best managers in the world, Arsenal are one of the best teams. This is right."
