Nemanja Matic has quickly hailed the quality of his teammates at new club Manchester United.
Speaking in his post-match interview after victory over Sampdoria in Dublin, the former Chelsea defensive midfielder suggested that his current team-mates are the best he's ever played with.
When asked by the interviewer what he thinks of the current United squad, he said: “They are amazing.
“I played in a few clubs in my career, but these guys are amazing."
He also spoke of how he had to train on his own during pre-season, left out of Chelsea's squad for their tour in Asia.
When asked how he felt playing his first minutes if football this summer, he added: “It was strange because the team has played and had a good pre-season.
“And as you know I trained alone in London, and it was strange for me, but I tried to give my best to control the game, give the balance and I think for the first game it was good for me.
“And step by step I think I will be better and better and I hope that I will help the team to achieve something this season."
