Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is confident Barcelona will not want to face Chelsea in the last 16 of the Champions League.

The Blues advanced through Group C in second place, despite being held 1-1 by Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.

UEFA regulations mean Chelsea cannot draw and English team or Roma, who topped their group.

This leaves PSG, Barcelona and Besiktas as the only opponents they could face in the next round.

And although Courtois understands the challenge that lies ahead, the Belgian believes clubs should also fear taking on Chelsea.

"There are several English teams that have been finished in first position, so we can only play against Barca, PSG and Besiktas, but if you ask Barca if they want to face against Chelsea, they will say no," he said.

"We are a good team and we are going to try everything to get far in the Champions League."
