Chelsea Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois Makes 10,000 Mile Round-Trip to Watch Historic Sporting Weekend

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has certainly enjoyed a hectic weekend of sport.


First of all playing a key role in the Blues' 3-1 win over Arsenal on Saturday before jetting off the the US to watch his favourite basketball side, theNew York Knicks, and going on toattend at the Super Bowl as well on Sunday.


The 24-year-old was in fine form for Chelsea on Saturday, limiting Arsenal to just one goal in a result that sees Antonio Conte's side go nine points clear at the top of the Premier League.

Following the result at Stamford Bridge, Courtois hopped on an eight-hour flight to New York in time to see the Knicks play atMadison Square Gardens at 8pm.


And the Belgian shot-stopper didn't stop there, flying to Texas to watch the Super Bowl just 22 hours later.

Courtois was in for a treat at the Super Bowl as he witnessed one of the greatest comebacks of all-time, with the New England Patriots fighting from 28-3 down to beat the Atlanta Falcons in overtime.


He Tweeted the whole experience, uploading a video at the Super Bowl alongside the caption: "What a comeback! Congrats to @Patriots !! Fantastic live experience!! #SuperBowl"
