Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has spoken of his first call-up to the France national team.
Crowned France's Player of the Year yesterday, Kante recalled how Didier Deschamps made contact when he was starring with Leicester City.
"My first call? Yes, it made me feel strange, even if I had been warned it was going to happen," said Kante.
"When he called me, he told me that he sees what I do with Leicester and that he finds me good.
"He called not because he wanted to talk about me, but because he liked my performances. He thought I deserved to play in the France team. It made me feel strange, I did not expect it."
