Juventus are keeping tabs on Chelsea full-back Emerson Palmieri, and could move for the former Roma man should Leonardo Spinazzola depart.

The Italian only made his season debut during the Bianconeri’s 2-0 Coppa Italia victory over Bologna on Sunday after a lengthy injury layoff, but rumours suggest he could be set for an exit this January.

Tuttomercatoweb.com reports Bologna are keen to land Spinazzola on loan with an option to buy, though the 25-year-old remains unsure over the move.

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri made it clear he expects the Italian to remain at the club, however the Bianconeri are looking at possible replacements and have earmarked Emerson as a candidate.

The 24-year-old has been rarely used by Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri – making just two Premier League appearances – and a return to Serie A could be in the cards.

While the Blues are said to be unwilling to let the former Roma man go, Spinazzola’s departure could push Juventus to make a firm push for the Italian international.
